What is Paleolithic Diet?

The short form of paleolithic is paleo which is mostly used, it refers to era before human the evolution of anatomically modern homo sapiens, and ended at the invention of agriculture. The period which began at the invention of agriculture is named the Neolithic Era. The invention of agriculture, only 10-15,000 years ago, was a really sudden and dramatic shift in diet and environment for several human cultures. Foods like cereal grains (wheat, rice, barley), legumes (beans, peanuts) and dairy not only appeared, but became dietary staples, when earlier they might are rare-to-nonexistent. the first idea behind the paleo diet is that humans, as a species, haven't yet evolved to be ready to handle these foods well.

PALEO DIET:

Obviously there was no single diet for all mankind. Humans can eat a good sort of foods. However, studies of recent have revealed several common factors, which we will reasonably guess was also true of ancient humans:
  • Heavy reliance on animals as food, including land animals (game), birds, fish, molluscs, small mammals and insects
  • Moderate consumption of plant foods, fruit, and nuts/seeds.
  • Lots of animal foods, meat, eggs, fish/seafood, lots of vegetables, nuts/seeds, fruits are main foods consumed while following paleo diet.
