HOW TO GET YOURSELF MOTIVATED
We need to ask ourselves first, do I really need to be motivated; do I really need to make an effort during times like these when I can do anything just from my bed? The answer is yes, and yes again. Whether we accept our new reality or not, time is still moving forward and so are our lives. It is important especially during these covid times that everyone not only stays vigilant but also carries out their duties fully so that we can return to our normal lives again.
The first challenge to overcome when trying to accomplish
any task is to have the motivation to do so. In this article I will discuss the
many practices you can adopt in order to give yourself the extra boost you need
to undertake any activity.
For anyone during post covid times it has been exceptionally
difficult to find and keep them motivated enough to do any task. Being confined
to the four walls of your home living in your own comfort has become a huge
obstacle for anyone trying to carry out their planned activities. In the recent
year people around the world found themselves at the disposal of unfinished
work and incomplete tasks that would later pile up to meet them the next day.
Students have been in particular victims of this cage like environment where
working and completing assignments is the new challenge. People of every
profession have faced this same issue this entire year. Bringing everyone to
the same conclusion, how to get you motivated.
So here are 6 tips to help you stay motivated even during
tough times like today:
Writing down your goals
Writing down your goals can help give you a head start to
your day and even keep you focused. This is because our mind is trained to
understand plans and patterns quickly. This gives a person the initial
confidence they need to start their tasks. A small To-do list can also be a
good way to start.
Picture yourself
achieving your goals
A very impractical approach to motivation but a far more
effective one, this approach helps set your mental state to being active and
focused before the day even begins. Before going to sleep some people try to
visualize their activities for the following day which gives them a form of
expectations to look forward to. This eagerness gives birth to a sort of
motivation to get the tasks done as soon as possible achieving satisfaction
among ourselves.
Trying something new
Trying new things always helps us develop a sort of
adrenaline when we try them. Breaking our boring everyday routine, this step
can help us move away from the normal restricting lifestyles and bring forward
new habits and interests that we can carry along.
Sleep depravity has become a common
problem for people during the current covid situation. This is because staying
at home has created a confusing routine for everyone. Without having to leave
the room or bed has made people lazy and disturbed their sleeping patterns. So
in order to be able to carry out any tasks and find motivation to do them one
must keep their sleep cycle intact. If sleeping at night is difficult try
sleeping whenever you can but making sure that it is for at least 7 hours.

Keep pushing yourself out of the comfort zone
The biggest challenge you have to face right now is the ability to come out
of your comfort zone while still being physically limited to the comfort of
your own home. However, this too can be overcome by following at least one of
the steps mentioned above or just mentally accepting that despite you being
home, you still have a life to live and work that needs to be done. Regardless
where you are or how you feel time will not stop for you until you decide to
come out of your comfort zone. Keep taking risks and letting yourself grow and
expand as a person.
Hopefully these tips help you understand that despite
whatever conditions we are all living right now, there are still ways to get up
and make the best of this!
